1. Eligibility and Membership

Maison Thýba is a private members’ club for women aged 18 and over.

Membership is subject to an application and approval process.
Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

Maison Thýba reserves the right to assess applications at its discretion, having regard to the character, ethos and community standards of the Club.

Membership is personal to the individual named on the application and may not be transferred, sold or shared with another person.
 

2. Application Process

Applicants are required to provide accurate, complete and current information as part of the membership application.

Information provided during the application process may be used to assess suitability for membership and if you are accepted, to set up and manage your membership of Maison Thýba.

Maison Thýba may contact an applicant where clarification or additional information is required.

Submitting an application does not itself create a membership contract or guarantee membership.
 

3. Founding Membership

Maison Thýba will offer a limited Founding Membership opportunity during its founding period.

Founding Membership is available only during the designated founding period and is subject to the applicable £150 one off joining fee and a discounted membership rate of £35 per month, recurring payments commencing from the official launch of the Club.

Maison Thýba reserves the right to close the founding membership period at any time once the designated founding cohort has been reached or the founding period has otherwise concluded.

Following the founding period, membership will be offered at a different joining fee and/or membership rate.
 

4. Founding Membership Joining Fee and discounted monthly rate:

The current Founding Membership joining fee is:

£150 one-off joining fee.
and a discounted membership rate of £35 per month, recurring payments only charged from the official launch date of the Club.

The joining fee and first month is payable as part of the founding membership application process.

Payment of the joining fee does not automatically constitute acceptance into Maison Thýba and does not provide immediate access to members-only benefits or facilities.

An application will remain subject to review and approval.

Where an application is declined by Maison Thýba, the £150 joining fee will be refunded in accordance with the refund process communicated to the applicant, subject always to any applicable statutory rights.
 

5. Application Decisions

Following payment and review, an application may be:

• Approved;

• Declined; or

• Held pending further information.

If an application is approved, Maison Thýba will confirm membership and provide the applicant with information regarding access to members-only areas, events and benefits.

If an application is declined, the applicant will not receive membership access and any applicable refund will be processed.

Maison Thýba is not required to provide detailed reasons for an application decision, except where required by law.
 

6. Membership Subscription

Following the official launch of Maison Thýba, the standard Founding Member subscription will be:

£35 per month.

The recurring membership subscription will commence from the official club launch date as communicated by Maison Thýba.

The applicable payment method and billing arrangements will be communicated to approved Founding Members before recurring membership payments begin.

Membership fees are personal to the member and may not be transferred to another person.

Maison Thýba reserves the right to amend future membership fees where permitted by law, subject to providing members with appropriate notice.
 

7. Renewal and Cancellation

Membership will continue on a recurring basis unless cancelled by the member or terminated by Maison Thýba in accordance with these Terms.

Members may request cancellation in accordance with the cancellation process communicated by Maison Thýba.

Cancellation will not affect any payment obligations that have already become due.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any cancellation, refund or other statutory rights that apply to consumers under UK law.
 

8. Events and Experiences

Membership may provide access to a programme of curated events, experiences and activities.

These may include, but are not limited to:

• private soirées;

• charity events and galas;

• fine dining;

• theatre and cultural events;

• polo and equestrian activities;

• workshops;

• social gatherings;

• travel or lifestyle experiences; and

• other events curated by Maison Thýba.

Events may be subject to separate booking fees, ticket prices, deposits, venue terms or other charges.

Membership does not guarantee availability of every event or experience.

Maison Thýba may change, postpone or cancel an event where reasonably necessary, including because of venue availability, circumstances outside its control, safety considerations or insufficient attendance.

Where an event is cancelled or materially changed, Maison Thýba will communicate any applicable refund or alternative arrangements.
 

9. Member Conduct

Maison Thýba is intended to provide an enjoyable, respectful and welcoming environment for its members.

Members are expected to behave respectfully towards other members, guests, Maison Thýba representatives, event partners, venues and suppliers.

Members must not engage in:

• harassment, bullying or intimidation;

• discriminatory or abusive behaviour;

• threatening or violent conduct;

• unwanted sexual conduct or harassment;

• deliberate damage to property;

• fraudulent or unlawful activity;

• conduct that materially damages the reputation or interests of Maison Thýba; or

• behaviour that materially disrupts an event or the experience of other members.
  Members are expected to conduct themselves respectfully when communicating about Maison Thýba, its members, representatives and associated individuals, including on social media and other online platforms.
  Members must not use online platforms to knowingly publish or share false or defamatory statements, harass or threaten others, disclose another member’s private or confidential information without permission, or otherwise engage in malicious conduct intended to cause harm to an individual or to Maison Thýba.
  Members may express genuine opinions, provide honest feedback and make lawful complaints about their experiences with Maison Thýba.
  A serious or repeated breach of this provision may result in appropriate action under these Terms, which may include suspension or termination of membership, subject to the Club’s applicable membership procedures.
  Maison Thýba may investigate concerns regarding member conduct and may take appropriate action where necessary.
   

10. Suspension or Termination

Maison Thýba may suspend or terminate a membership where there are reasonable grounds to believe that a member has:

• seriously or repeatedly breached these Terms;

• engaged in serious misconduct;

• provided materially false or misleading information;

• engaged in unlawful behaviour;

• failed to make required membership payments; or

• acted in a manner that materially threatens the safety, wellbeing or legitimate interests of the Club or its members.

Where appropriate, Maison Thýba may provide the member with an opportunity to respond before a decision is made.

Any termination will be subject to applicable consumer and contractual rights.
 

11. Guests

Where Maison Thýba permits members to bring guests to particular events or experiences, the member is responsible for ensuring that their guest follows applicable event and venue rules.

Guest access is subject to availability and may not be permitted for every event.

Maison Thýba may restrict or refuse guest access where reasonably necessary.
 

12. Photography and Content

Photography and filming may take place at Maison Thýba events and experiences for purposes including documenting the Club, promoting Maison Thýba, social media, editorial features, advertising and other commercial purposes.

By attending a Maison Thýba event, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in photographs or recordings taken at the event.

Maison Thýba will make reasonable efforts to respect members who do not wish to be photographed or filmed for promotional or commercial purposes. Members who do not wish to appear in promotional or commercial photography or filming should notify Maison Thýba in advance by contacting contact@maisonthyba.com and where appropriate, identify themselves to the Maison Thýba team or event photographer upon arrival.

Where a member has notified Maison Thýba that they do not wish to be included in promotional or commercial photography or filming, reasonable efforts will be made to avoid intentionally photographing or filming that member for those purposes.

Members should respect the privacy of other members and must not photograph, film, record or publish identifiable images or personal information of another member without their permission, particularly where the content is intended for commercial or public use.

Maison Thýba may use photographs or recordings in which members appear in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
 

13. Privacy and Personal Information

Maison Thýba collects and uses personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains what information Maison Thýba collects, why it is collected, how it is used, who it may be shared with and the rights available to individuals.

The Privacy Policy forms an important part of the information provided to applicants and members and is available through the Maison Thýba website.
 

14. Confidentiality and Community Privacy

Members may become aware of personal, professional or other information about other members through their participation in Maison Thýba.

Members are expected to treat such information respectfully and confidentially and should not disclose another member's private information without permission or lawful justification.

Maison Thýba does not guarantee that information shared between members will remain confidential and members should exercise appropriate judgement regarding information they choose to share.
 

15. Intellectual Property

The Maison Thýba name, branding, website content, written materials, imagery and other original content created by or for Maison Thýba remain the property of Maison Thýba or its relevant licensors unless otherwise stated.

Members may not reproduce, commercially exploit or use Maison Thýba branding or content without prior written permission.
 

16. Third-Party Providers and Venues

Maison Thýba may work with independent venues, event organisers, restaurants, suppliers, instructors, travel providers and other third parties.

Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and conditions.

Maison Thýba is not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent third-party providers except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
 

17. Liability

Maison Thýba will take reasonable care in providing membership services and organising events.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to the above, Maison Thýba is not responsible for loss, damage or disruption caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control.
 

18. Changes to the Club

Maison Thýba may reasonably change its membership structure, events, benefits, venues, suppliers or programme from time to time.

Where a change materially affects an existing member's contractual rights or financial obligations, Maison Thýba will provide appropriate notice where required by law.
 

19. Complaints

We want members to have a positive experience at Maison Thýba.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
